So I’ve decided to enter another I Heart Faces challenge, in honor of getting back into shooting! It’s been a long time since I’ve updated my blog, and I have a few sessions I need to blog for sure! I took some time off from my photography to pursue a professional license in my full-time career, but I accomplished what I set out to do, so I’m back! I have a wedding, a new senior session, and a newborn session at least that I need to post, which I promise I will do soon. :-)
Anyway, this is one of my all-time favorite captures, in general and with regards to pretty eyes. This handsome little man is the son of some of our closest friends. His daddy grew up with my husband actually, so it’s neat that our families are friends! This picture was taken in honor of Mr. Kamren’s first birthday. Isn’t he a doll?! Thanks for looking! :-)

So I promised another look at the swap session, and here it finally is! Tricia, Ken, Elvis, and Wrigley were so much fun to photograph. The bright colors of the clothing they chose (courtesy of Old Navy) really complimented my high-saturation style. Yes, I LOVE color! I had such a great time, and we have to do this again next year. Thanks so much for swapping with me, and I’m glad to have a photog buddy.
^Um yep, I *love* this b/w one!
^Looks like we headed for the countryside, huh? Deceiving!
^Go Colts!!!!

I have a loving husband who is my best friend. I have two darling children who love me unconditionally even on my worst days with them. We have a home, food, clothing, and anything else above those essentials is just a blessing. We have fantastic wonderful dear friends. I have wonderful clients who are putting their trust in me to produce beautiful images of their families. These clients and my family are enabling me to grow my business into (hopefully) a career. My family has been so wonderful throughout this growing process. Since I work full time, all of my photography work is done in the evenings and on weekends (and lunches at work). This takes away from my already limited time with my husband and children, and I know it has been difficult and stressful on all of us in this house. They have been incredibly patient with me and understanding of this passion of mine which I have thrown myself into. My wonderful hubby, my best friend, has stepped up and helped me out and supported me, no matter how hard it is. Mason has stopped trying to plop his butt down on my laptop for the most part.
Kaylie has been a willing model and has helped so much with her brother. She’s quite grown up for seven. I keep telling them it will all be worth it in the end. I’m not sure they’re as sure as I am, but they continue to be my biggest support, my biggest fans. I truly am a lucky woman.
Happy Thanksgiving to you all.

I had the pleasure of photographing Mr. Isaac this past Saturday. Even though he was clearly not up for much of it, he was a trooper and I got some gorgeous shots. It’s been fun to see how much he changes every three months. I also had the pleasure of meeting Sam’s parents and sister, and they were a blast to work with. Enjoy!

Check out our sneak peek here! Tricia came to Brownsburg today to do a session for us. Too long since we had family pictures, and I think she did a fantastic job! Mason was difficult of course, but I know she still got good ones out of him. I am so thrilled! I’ll be posting more from their session soon. Thank you so much, Tricia! We had a blast!

I just have to post this – can’t believe we have a 7 year old girl now. I almost typed “little girl,” but she’s not really little anymore, is she? Her birthday was Friday, and she had a sleepover last night where they spent most of their time playing the HSM3 dance game on XBox 360.
Happy Birthday, baby girl.

So a little while ago, I returned from a session with Tricia of Tricia Owens Photography. We are doing a session swap, so I got to take shots of her, her hubby Ken, and their adorable pooches Elvis and Wrigley.
Elvis is an old man and was not having the whole thing, but we got the shots. I am so excited for her to do our family’s session next Saturday!! It was so great to meet you and your family, Tricia! Here’s just a little sneak peek!

Wow. Wow. Wow. I felt old as soon as she got out of her car. What a total sweetheart, and gorgeous to boot. She is a natural in front of the camera. I have no idea how any photographer could churn out a bad picture of her! Here is a sneak peek of some of my favorites from her session so far. I hope you enjoy them, Kasi! I cannot believe it is the Class of ’10 already. Sheesh.

I am so excited to finally post my two sneak peeks. I miss my internet at home. Hopefully, I will have my new modem and have it up and running in the next couple of days. Until then, I have to use other resources. This session was so much fun. Lane’s mommy and I went to jr. high and high school together. Our pregnancies even overlapped a bit when I was carrying Mason, and Lane was almost a Mason.
Lane was true to his age and not real into having his pictures taken, but I got plenty of good ones out of him. He’s adorable and a sweetheart. Enjoy!
